“Start from where you are, not where you wish you were. The work you are doing becomes your path”
-Ram Dass
If you are ready to make a powerful shift in your life, whether you want to become a yoga teacher and guide public classes, advance your own personal practice, or join a like minded community of human beings on a quest for transformation, the SOULSTOKED 200-Hour Teacher Training is the beginning of your journey.
This yoga teacher training course is a comprehensive Yoga Alliance approved 200-Hour level program open to people of all yoga abilities and backgrounds. The intention of this course is to provide students with the tools needed to build a solid foundation that will serve as a powerful base from which to teach/guide yourself and others through a life long practice that educates, inspires and heals.
This training will give students a holistic understanding of yoga in which they will explore and experience the practice beyond the physical postures. Through in depth study, discussion and daily practice, you will gain a deeper sense of understanding of how yoga extends far beyond time spent in a one hour class.
You will learn that it is not something that you do, its something that you embody.
The practice of physical postures is just a small glimpse of what yoga truly represents. The essence of the practice comes through the moment you step off your mat, it becomes a direct reflection of how you show up in day to day life.
This is a Vinyasa based yoga training focusing on the flow style of yoga, exploring breath to movement principles through Vinyasa Krama, “ A step by step progression into something, or to a certain goal”. This training is accessible to a spectrum of body types and individual needs, resulting in a well-balanced understanding of yoga for health and healing at all levels of the being. The curriculum includes an in-depth study and understanding of Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Dhyana (meditation techniques), yogic philosophy, functional anatomy, the subtle energy body system (Chakras), Svadhyaya (self-inquiry/study) and more.
